Munich Royal Academy of art

16 July 2010 opening of the Contemporary jewellery Academy show.

I was invited early, a few days early. The Academy was alive with creatives looking at how there works looked best in a curation situation and starting to clear there studio for viewings. Walking down the corridor to the left, left, left i found the room were the Academy students were setting up there display for the year. I was warmly welcomed by Otto and Juro and had the pleasure of watching them with there work in process.

I had dreamed about this place and flown across the world to visit it and now i was there i was beaming.

Just like any other show there was a small bit of uncertainty in the air of how there final curation would look like as they glued mirrors to cardboard and glued them to rotating things and wired them up, it almost looked like a city scape forming on a large plinth in the middle of the room.
